Procurement Specialist - Manufacturing

This truly global manufacturer is number one in its field supplying DIY products to the retail chains as well as added value manufacturers. Turnover is $2.0 billion of which Europe, with over 15 manufacturing sites including 3 in the UK, accounts for 20% of revenue.

Based out of their European HQ in South Yorkshire, which employs 500 persons, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for procurement of all materials and services for the three UK sites, working alongside the global supply chain team in the US. This will involve developing contracts with suppliers, sourcing new materials, new supplier audits and the reduction of costs across the business.

Currently a senior procurement specialist with a CIPS qualification you will have a background in purchasing raw materials, preferably in the timber sector, for a high volume manufacturing organisation.

You will have good systems experience, be an excellent planner and problem solver and be used to working with senior management across a range of functions.
